FA Cup Match: Spurs 3-2 Manchester City
Date Played: May 1981

During the first few minutes, Ardiles was brutally brought down by a tackle from Gerry Gow. After 7 minutes, Ardiles once again sprinted past two defenders and his drive rebounded off Steve Archibald, whose hit was parried by Joe Corrigan. Ricky Villa followed it up by smashing home the rebound. Three minutes after, Ray Ransons curling free kick for City was only half cleared, and Tommy Hutchinson powerfully headed the ball sideways to Steve Mackenzie, who volleyed from the edge of the box to equalize. Glenn Hoddle smashed the post few moments later. In the 52nd minute, Dave Bennett dribbled into the Tottenham penalty area and was fouled by Paul Miller and Chris Hughton. Kevin Reeve slotted home the penalty and the score was 2-1. With twenty minutes remaining, Hoddle chipped the ball into the box and Garth Crooks smashed in the equalizer for Spurs. Moments later, Ricardo Villa went past 4 defenders and scored a glorious goal with only minutes remaining.
