Sol Campbell
Campbell made his debut for Tottenham in September 1992; his finest hour with Spurs was winning the 1999 league cup final. Campbell was outstanding during the 90’s in the heart of Tottenham’s defense. Campbell moved to Arsenal, much of the disgust of the Tottenham fans, in the year 2000. Campbell spent a total of six seasons playing for Arsenal before moving to Portsmouth.
Campbell made his international debut in 1996; however he came to prominence during the 1998 world cup finals. He was an awesome presence at the England defense in the 1998 finals; Campbell starred for England during the 2000 and 2004 European football championships, producing brilliant defensive football for England. Another great display for England during the 2002 world cup finals earned Campbell greater respect. He played a minor role for his country during the 2006 world cup finals, coming on as a substitute in the match against Sweden.
Teddy Sheringham
Sheringham came into spotlight in football while playing his football for Mill Wall. He formed a lethal partnership upfront with Tony Cascarino and in his 213 appearances he scored ninety two goals. His finest season in front of goal came during the 92/93 campaign. He moved from Forest to Spurs and netted a total of 21 goals, which won him the first ever premiership golden boot. He averaged nearly a goal every other match while playing for Tottenham, in the years, 1993-97 with 75 goals. He later on moved to Manchester United in search for more silver ware. He was an immediate success, scoring sixty two goals in just over 100 appearances and helped them in winning the league title, FA Cup and Champions league.
Jurgen Klinsmann
Klinsmann arrived at Spurs after guiding Germany to the last eight in USA 94. He scored 21 league goals and helped Tottenham up from third bottom in November to finish in seventh place. He invented the dive goal celebration making a joke about his reputation of being a diver. He then went on to star for Bayern Munich, Sampdoria , Tottenham Hotspur again and then Orange County Blue Star of the United States.
Nick Barmby
Barmy graduated through the Spurs ranks before signing for Midlesbrough for £5.25 million in August 1995 and did not disappoint. The 1996-97 season witnessed Barmby move to Everton and he immediately became a vital player for the club. He scored twenty one goals in 133 appearances and moved onto his clubs rivals, Liverpool, for £6 million in July 2000.At Liverpool he won the UEFA Cup and League cup however a string of injuries hampered his progress during his second season at Anfield. Barmby later moved on to play for Hull City.
